Make-Ahead Cheeseburger Sliders on Hawaiian Buns
20 mins prepServes 8
The best make-ahead cheeseburger sliders, perfect for game day or any get-together. These sliders feature seasoned ground beef, cheddar and provolone cheese, fried onions, all nestled on sweet Hawaiian rolls and brushed with a savory butter topping.
1. Brown the ground beef and season it to taste.
2. Separate the bottom halves of the Hawaiian buns. Layer them in a baking dish.
3. On top of the bottom buns, place a layer of cheese, followed by the seasoned beef, another layer of cheese, and then the fried onions.
4. Place the top halves of the buns over the assembled sliders.
5. Brush the melted butter over the tops of the buns and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes, or until the sliders are warm through and the cheese is melty.
Pro Tip: Placing cheese on both the top and bottom of the beef helps prevent the buns from getting soggy and makes the cheese extra melty.
Make Ahead: Assemble the sliders earlier in the day, cover them, and refrigerate. When ready to serve, bake as instructed.
